Hello All,
I am new here and did some searches in this forum and other and still don't know if mine is MK5 or SC or other.
Also I want to replace all interior lights + fog light from yellow to whitw.
Should I use LED, LED SMD ? will I have problems with the LED error ?
Does anyone has a list of the bulbs for the new Cupra ?

*I can't upload files here and can't post URLs :(

Thanks,
Asaf.

Hello.
Your Cupra is both MK5 and SC (sport coupe = 3 doors). Ibiza MK6 will come in 2017 probably according to some rumours.
Can't help you with the bulbs question, you should be able to remove your interior lights quite easily to gain access to OEM bulbs or you can call your Seat dealer on Monday and ask.
Mine looks like this at the moment, something is clearly missing:

I'm going to install a new sound system and as a first step I'll treat the floor and sides with noise isolation mats. Bought the mats already, 2 layers of mats that will cover the floor and rear side panels cost me around £90 (retail price is around £110, got a deal from a buddy). I'm already considering doing the roof too while I'm at it, need to buy some more mats then. I'm doing all the work myself so no cost here.
It took me 5 evenings after work (around 2 hours per evening) to get to this point like the car sits at the moment but I had no information at all how to dismantle all the interior parts, so I took my time. I managed to break only one plastic clip during the process plus there seems to be a bunch of plastic clips of another type that are meant to be used only once.
I'll post a DIY guide next week on the forum how to get a MK5 SC naked from the inside :).

Actually the new Cupra already has a quite decent carpet-like noise isolation mat under the black carpet which is a good thing from Seat:

The car overall is quite quiet actually from the factory, you can't hear the engine much, only tire noise is quite annoying if you have 215/40/17 Potenza tires like you should.

I have the FR 1.4 EcoTsi with the 215/40/17 tires - mine are Dunlop Sport Maxx though - yes there is some road noise which is not unexpected given the low profile but I don't find it instrusive.

The Dunlops really are a good tire.

You have 18" tires? In my country the only factory option is 17" Barcino wheels wrapped in Potenzas.

What comes to that grey factory noise mat under the carpet - I bet that Ibizas with lower specs don't have it, FR though is the next level from Cupra and probably has it.

Getting this thin aluminium trim panel off that's around the gearstick gaiter is tricky, it's actually the hardest piece to remove of them all without breaking it. I actually couldn't do it and got help from one caraudio shop nearby, now I know it's possible to remove it using your fingers on top edge and a prying tool simultaneously on one of side edges:

I bought this set from a big local tool store for £28:

These are actually quite big in size, I sure could use a couple of smaller ones as well.

These are really good prices, no doubt about that. How long will the shipping take and in what country do you live?
I needed a set the next day so didn't have a choice but to get them locally.

You still haven't answered what size of wheels have you got.
