Hi Guys, just thought I'd say hello, I'm new to this forum.
Just ordered a new Cupra diesel with convenience pack and hopefully get it next week. 1st thing I'm doing is puttin in my sound system that I took out of my old car.

Got 12" sub, 6x9's, 3 amps, front components, rear coaxials, Alpine head unit with ipod connector, ipod itself.

Looking forward to it now.

Mind you I never got to the test drive the Cupra as it wasn't in stock so don't no what to expect. Infact never driven a Seat before.

I'll let you know what I think when it arrives.

Cheers

Well let me know if you manage to get the head unit in, if it has steering controls for the head unit you may have problems.

I wouldnt cut up your shelf to put the 6x9s in the seat system is good anyway, youll be ok with the standard speakers and the sub.

as for the car youll love it if my FR is anything to go by.

I'm def cutting the shelf, my sound system cost me £3000 last year, I'm not letting it just sit in my garage. Head unit doesn't have steering controls so hopefully should be an easy enough fit. Cheers for the advice anyway mate.

very nice car, im sure you will enjoy. theres plenty of info on tuning the TDI engine as well on here, so have a look around when your ready to do that.

if your putting in 6x9s surely a stealth shelf would be the better option all round?

6x9s are a waste of time if you have a sub properly set up. And if you insist on fitting them - go stealth shelf! Will hide them, sound better and wont look tacky :p

Hope you enjoy your cupra as much as im enjoying my FR :D
