Recently iv been experiencing problems with my car when accelerating in 1st/2nd gear, The car seems very jerky and juddery when off boost and coming into boost:confused:.

3-4weeks ago coil pack 4 went and i had this replaced but now iv noticed coil pack 3 keeps lifting up out of socket, every time i re-seat the coil pack it lifts straight back up once the car is driven anyone any ideas?

You've not given anyone a Jump Start recently?
Probably sounds stupid as your obviously alot more knowledagable than I
But a friend of mine a year or so back Jumped his car via mine but used both points on the battery, This ****ed the coilpack.

They replaced it once (Or part of it) but after a few weeks it went back again and they had to replace it.
I denied all knowledge of anyone jump starting their car via mine but that's what happened.

I keep harping back to my old MK3 cupra but...

Coilpack 3 kept popping up on mine but never caused any hesitation/juddering problems for me. It's apparently a build up of heat which forces them out. The solutions for this is:

(a) Cutting a "V" shape down the back of the coilpack seal to let the pressure escape
(b) Buying replacment bolt-down coilpacks or making a bracket to keep them seated

Quick question... you haven't pressure washed your engine bay have you? That can get water down netx to the pencils/coils and will give you a stutter.

heers for the advise il have a look over the weekend, Iv never washed the engine bay thankfully. Its hard to descride the stuttering its like the car keeps holding back and hesitates.

Has you EML popped up? iirc it either flashes to show intermittent coil problems or stays lit?? Can't quite remember, though from what you're describing it might not be coil probs cos it's not a "miss-fire" as such but a hesitation??

When was the last time you changed your spark plugs? Maybe worth checking them? Also might be your N75 valve?

i've got this problem, with hesitation, slight difficulties from cold start, stuttering at @2000ish. I managed to pop a CEL one day, got home and put the VAGcom on to get a missfire on cyl1. swapped the packs over to different cyls to see if the fault moves to with the coilpacks and also to reseat them. symptoms still occurs but feels slightly different, starts a bit better now. But this just proves to me that my car has a dying coilpack, but wont die completely. But thankful though, otherwise i'll be stranded somewhere for sure. i'm just gonna get a new set...
