I was not impressed with the dull grey effect of the LCR splitter on my MY03, but after thinking about painting it or maybe gettin it done in CF, it became obvious that that would be a waste of money because it catches on EVERYTHING!
So,after finding a can of lacquer in the garage I thought i'd put a couple of coats of lacquer on it - extremely cheap and easy and can be done DIY to every new splitter required! It just looks a bit more like its meant to be there because its shiny now.
Also, after scraping the splitter again today, i checked and the effect of the scrape and it doesn't look worse because its lacquered - if it was painted it would look pretty crap with a few scrapes on it!
I think on the next one i get, i may sand off the grainy texture then laquer it and see how it comes out.
