Jabbasport Induction Kit

Had a read through some previous posts but still not sure whats the best option...
I have a Jabbasport induction kit, but the JR Filter is well and truly knackered. Was looking at getting a similar filter from Jetex, but not sure which size to get as they have recommended bhp etc. The car is running 290bhp approx and the air filter dimensions are:
Outer Base: 140mm
Inner Base: 73mm
Top: 120mm
Has anyone else found a suitable replacement? I assume a 70mm will probably squeeze on ok...
I am restricted on space due to one of the induction mounts on the heat shield being very close to the middle of one of the sides on the cone... So theres no chance of getting a wider cone on...
Alternatively I could just get an enclosed induction kit and remove the jabbasport one completely...
Or maybe relocate the air filter down behind the wheel arch... as I don't have an FMIC (if i change to FMIC will that be a big issue?)
anyway...
Any thoughts on the best solution would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

So which model number do I go for? should i relocate to behind the bumper? or get an enclosed carbon fibre one?

Don't get the enclosed carbon one as I have the bmc and it's flow readings aren't as good as open cone. Although I hear the dyna twist is very good?

Thanks Riko, I was worried it might restrict air flow, it might be a case of relocating the filter down to the wing then... I was also wondering whether the length of the pipe might also cause problems...
I could keep the jabbasport heat shield, and maybe have a bonnet vent above the air filter?

As much as I love the look of the bmc, I'm changing it to a jetex as theryre MAF friendly and they achieve good results. Placing it in the wing is better to stop heat soak but don't do it too low as a couple of people have had water issues. I'm having a sprinter vent cut into the passenger wing to help air flow.

well lets take an example the FR-07008 wont fit in a jabbasport box because it is 160mm at the base....

The FD-07002 will only do 170bhp

None of the 75mm ones go above 265 bhp

The ER-07505 has a huge base too at 190mm

I only have 140mm to play with at the base maybe 150mm if im lucky

The JR filter currently on looking at the size of the jetex ones is obviously waaayyy too small...

Already read this post, hence my question... neither filter will fit in the jabbasport heat shield :(
Thats why I was wondering whether I am just gonna have to lose the heat shield... and fabricate another one...

Also on a side note... sprinter vents... i know coollouvres do them but im debating whether to do something different??? any suggestions? Riko, where you going to get this done???

next problem!!! MAF is 80mm!!! as its some larger maf not standard...
Might be able to fit... FC-08005
or FC-08001??
will these fit in the space??

It would make sense now why the air filter is kinked and knackered, since its a 73mm thats been forced onto a 80mm MAF lol

Have a look in the readers ride section, "Probee" has just designed an AMAZING conversion to his heat shied on his LCR may allow a bit of customisation with the jetex?

I'll be getting my vents done at a place called Unit18 near me, these are the guys who built the Skoda Fabia estate sleeper!
