I drove my car (53 plate 1.8 20v leon with jabbasport ihi vf34 turbo upgrade) pretty hard and the turbo seemed to jam and the boost gauge would not go past 0. This was quite annoying because the last one only went 2 months ago when i started hearing a whistling noise and then it would just not boost. I was told this was because the turbo had jammed but im not sure if there was a reason behind this as when the new turbo was fitted i could still hear the whistling noise when boosting. The problem that im having at the moment is wether it is actually the turbo that has gone or not. There is smoke white/blue coming from the exhaust and its burning a lot of oil from the smell of it but the strange thing is that i still have boost and apart from the smoke it drives like normal with the addition of some cranking noises from the turbo and the exhaust underneath the car.
any suggestions would be of a great help!
