Just got back from a trip to Jabba Sport for a custom remap. i couldnt believe my eyes when i saw that my LC is now running 241 bhp!

The drive home was so great and felt like they had replaced the entire engine! Taking it on a rolling road day tomorrow to clarify the data, but would definatly reccommend it to anyone!

The power delivery is so smooth and being mapped to V Max gives it that edge over generic maps.

Go on.. join the revolution that is JABBA powered!

yeah i was well impressed! now running 1.2 bar boost, (standard 0.6) and loving every minute.

The noise of the turbo spooling up is so much louder and more intense, there is even a small 'psssh' :)

Just got back from a rolling road day at a engine tuners in reading, where i was a bit dissaponted as it was only running at 210 bhp :S then second time round it got lower and lower :S

After a quick check with jabba, (who were extremly helpful) i was pleased to know that this was due to insufficient cooling of the intercooler! hense the power getting lower and lower. Next time i shall be more careful, and ensure that substantial airflow goes at the intercooler!!

Certainly from driving it i have no doubt that it is running a hell of a lot more power + torque than standard! I have all faith in Jabba and their figures. after all they are specialists right ?

240+ on your dyno yea? did your dyno print out have dynorace on it?
if so thats why its recorded what it did @ Jabba

sorry... whats a dynorace?? :)

As you all say.. its purely pub chat, and the figures are just used to piss of my mates! haha. At the end of the day they could tell me its running anything and i would still be happy. Whatever it is its enought to keep me on my toes and certainly enough to get me into trouble (and out very quikly to)!

Havent got any more plans for it just yet, as i desperatly need to save some money, as im returning to uni next year :S (currently on placement) plus tyres are very quickly becoming worn so i think they might be next on the 'to change' list!

if you have a plot of your dyno, does it say dynorace on it? and look like this in terms of format?

Jabba do seem to inflate rolling road power figures.

Mine was supposedly 275bhp just from a remap, took it to JBS where it then recorded 262bhp

Would take the 242bhp figure with a pinch of salt mate, 210bhp is far more likely especially if you haven't got any other mods.

Intercooler cooling is just an excuse they use, you only have 1 cooler. Its more of an issue with the twin cooled cars LCR/S3 etc.

The "Dyno Lottery" thing is as the name suggests, a huge factor when comparing various rollers.
Non VAG specialists ar usually unaware of the side mounted IC's and load times on their rollers and cooling, without logging these figures during the runs, accounts for a big variance.

If it goes well, makes ya smile, then if ya fancy just go to the many RR days you see on here, and at best compare yours to your "mates" cars and the numbers are relative. Tuned cars will typically fare worse on non sympathetic rollers, as their high boost brings on higher temps and ecu's compensation to suit generally results in lower than expected Dyno figures, where on the road performance does not match this.

dont get too hung on up absolute figures, apart from winding your m8s up :p

read lots of people achieving 230-250bhp oon K03s at lots of different rolling roads. Theres one audi A3 Quattro K03s that made 249 bhp at AMD and TSR on audi sport

I had 251bhp@ amd and got 247bhp @TSR on saturday, but that was with tesco 99oct,millers cvl booster and revo settings tweaked to suit.Torque was less at tsr only 262 lbft!Everyday settings and less octane fuel would probably only get 235-240 ish.As the badger says dyno lottery. Andy

Still running ko3s but have everything except injectors to go am04.I think its possible to get high figures from ko3s,but only if the set up is right,ie cooling, fuel etc,you had some good figures from the Lupo with a simular set up didn't you, also Gary M was getting reasonable figures when using trick fuel ,fmic, exhaust etc.Not sustainable for long periods, but good enough for a track day etc.BP are bringing out 103 octane fuel soon,i saw it in Evo,bring it on

KO4 with flowed exhaust housing(ko3s) and larger port exhaust manifold(ko3 fitment)will have to wait until later this year when funds are available to remap etc. With the existing turbo going so well i'm in no hurry.:D
