Picked this 210 LCR up earlier today! And my first impressions of the car are......well put it this way, i drove all the way home with a grin on my face!:D

Very pleased with it and got it for a decent price so i can spend a few £££ tidying up the front end (stonechips). And then sorting the wheels as the paint is peeling off in quiet a few places! I was gunna go back to the original colour but im now toying with the idea of black!

Big thankyou to 'kanny' from the forum for a nice smooth transaction and a f****ing great car! :p

Looking good, Red is my new fav colour, it really polishes up well.
Get that spitter on before you scrape the underside of the bumper on a frickin curb or something, it costs a decent bit to get it fixed where as a splitter only costs £20, I speak from expierence!!

Good luck with the motor.

Cheers guys!

The splitter is on the to do list after the bumper and bonnet have had some new paint!

Still don't know which way to go with the wheels tho.

Mash,

Good to see you have finally sorted out a Cupra R mate.

I take it the one in Huddersfield wasn't up to much then?

I'm from the old skool I guess and don't like black wheels, regardless of the body colour of the car. I personally think that nice, clean silver wheels look the business on a nice red car like that.

My car has the anthracite wheel finish on it and like yours it seems to be peeling off in places. The colour is growing on me, especially whilst they are clean, but I think if the peeling of the laquer gets much worse I'll be getting them refurbed in bright silver. Each to their own though.

I must admit I do think the look without the front splitter is good, but I'd be fearful of scraping the bumper and landing myself with a large bill.

Loving the colour of the car though. Get the respray work done and then go to town on the paintwork with Colour Magic and Carnauba Wax... it will come up like glass and will look the 'nads!

What spec does the car have? Tracker? CD Autochanger? Recaros? Climate?

Any mods planned?

J:)

id keep them anthracite mate look much better than black in my eyes even though i have black wheels i prefer yours. Think black alloys look like Hubless Steelies when moving but look nice when stationary, seen a yellow cupra r the other day with a steelie on the front and black alloy at the back lol and they didnt look much different when moving.

sweet!

remember to keep the bodywork clean and out of the sun if possible as red fades badly
