Not much, but I only had a couple of hours, and that included a trip to B&Q last night.

Plan to have the lot on the box for easy(ish) removal, just in case. Still 2/3 of the boot floor free for shopping :)

End pieces still to go on so it's a tight fit and need to put a terminal block in the back or side.

All I've got to do now is cable from scratch, build kicks and tweeter mounts, deaden doors and put mids in etc etc etc...

I've finished the box today, and even off a home amp, these babies do wang :D

Black Alcantara for the box this time I think :)

The actual airspace that the subs use is about half the visible box size. It has sealed partitions in it to get the required 1.4cuft for the subs. Aparrently they work even better in a smaller airspace (even half what I've used) but I'll try that later. It's only that bib because I want it to fit snugly in the boot and the amps need mounting somewhere.

you can play around with the box volume of you want. if you power your subs with the maximum power (i.e. 500 RMS on a 500W sub) you can make the box a bit smaller if will give tighter sound especially in a sealed box.

Brace it as much as you can, as well. you dont want the box to loosen up after a while.

see www.the12volt.com for a lot of useful info

It's ok dude, I do know what I'm doing, but thanks for the advice ;) Given the fact that they're down to 1.8ohms, they'll only be getting 4/450 each. I'm planning a TL box soon :)

I've cabled this evening. That bulkhead grommet was a nigthmare, took me ages to get it through but there is acres of room in the trim panels.
0awg, 2 runs of RCAs, Remote, Remote mono pot cable and 6 runs of speker pairs

Bloody ameteur my arse Peter. You had the luxury of stripping it all out! :p

Just run the comps tonight with OEM front, save for Alpine H/U and changer and they really do sound great. Not sure I can be bothered to fibreglass the fronts now :) They blend seamlessly with the front. Given I had a W7 before, I'm not exactly upgrading, but these babies are something else. It's going to sound awesome with the Rainbows in.

The Damplifier Pro door. It's good stuff, much better than BB etc. It's thicker and seems more rubbery as the top silver layer moves quite a bit compared to other stuff I've used.

Door with the damaged mid where I dropped it

And a temporary home for the tweeters until I do the a pillar builds. They fit EXACTLY in the top air vent :)
