Issues with re-mapping engines?

As per the title...would there be any issues with getting engine re-mapped?

Are you at more risk of engine failure? What sort of things do you need to watch out for?

Cheers.

no probs on FR's mate, even the diesels won't reach the torque limit on standard clutch. with regards to the brakes they are good enough but as mentioned won't stop 'as quickly' as the Cupra's, just uprate the pads

on Cupra's the diesel will need uprated clutch, petrol should be fine

in both cases be sure to regularly check boost pipes as the clips are prone to weakening and popping off, keep an eye on oil levels...etc

nothing beyond the usual unless going past a stage 1

I uprated to EBC dimpled and grooved all round on my FR with Green Stuff pads and it now stops a treat.

Same, but with Red Stuff. Work well, even on a stage 2. No oil usage or anything like that. I use fully synthetic oil now with a magnetic sump plug and will be using as good quality sparkplugs as I can find, but that's about it.
