As title says. This is the top of my eninge on my LC as you can see.
One is raised where the others arent. Is this normal or do i have a problem

I pushed it in before i started the engine so it was like the others, i turned the key and heard the TB aligning so i waited til that finished. Started her up, blipped the throttle after a minute or so, looked at it again and it was back in that position

im just curious

coil pack is it? well its bloody filthy. the two to the left are clean as a whislte, should i unscrew the SP a little? or go to seat and get an exchange

i had this prob on my old TT - the spark plugs weren't tightened correctly at the last service therefore gas was escaping and pushing the coil pack up. Get a spark plug wrench and tighten them to the correct torque setting, then push the coil pack in - that should solve the problem.

it can happen.
obviously check plug is seated properly effecting a seal..

once thats confirmed, snip a little V out of the rubber ribs, as they effectively seal against the cylinder head, and when it all gets hot, the trapped air expands and pushes the coil pack back out.

snip a V into the ribs so there's an air path and it should stay put.

worked for mine.

just rang up the local seat dealer. Luckily i found out that i know someone there. Going at 3 today to get one if all replaced as my warranty runs out TOMORROW!!!!!

Are the ribs there to stop crap going down the plug hole, Bill?

Mine does that, nice one, been wondering about that for two years :)

well i got cyclinder 3 coil pack changed. Seems ok, apart from last night it was misfiring BIG STYLE in 6th, dropped to 5th, it kept mis-firing then stopped. Pissed me right off.

Service is flashing on the dash tho

I had the same issue a few weeks before... but on the second cyl...

I pick off the plug and clean the hole becuase some dirt stucked on it and after screwing the plugs back it it can close correctly the cyl, and the pressure cannot come out....

That's only problem how the coil pack was pushed up but the compression of the cyl was decreased, you should get misfiring issue

happened to me with gsi astra and it was the compression ring on plug i tightened it and then tried it without cover on and it fired it out and put a high spot in my bonnet and split the rubber on ht lead so be careful. they were bosh super 4s that had just fitted.
