Is this car remapped/chipped does anybody know?

Test drove the Ibiza FR below a while back and it felt considerably quicker than my standard Fabia vRS. Does anybody know if it was chipped/mapped or whatever?

I think the Ibiza weighs about 100kg less than Fabia if this makes any difference.
Some sneaky dealers might alter the performance of their demonstrators to help influence your decision, I have witnessed this first hand.

Dont know possibly, i know some guy off here had a black fr tdi (snoopcousins) and then sold it for a Leon Fr TDI, not sure though tbh, as im sure his had a cupra front bumper.

Yeh I'm just curious because even with 4 up, it felt seriously quick (although in sayin that, at the time I was used to a 1.4 8v Escort and maybe I'm just so used to the Fabia now it doesn't feel all that fast)....Might go take another one for a spin and see if there is much difference.

Pretty sure the gearing's different in the Ibiza to the Furby as well so that'll have an effect as well. Also, not all engines are created equal...

Its just that Ibiza FR is soo great.
Last year i had a slip on black ice and my car was gone near on 3 months in which i suffered at the hands of a 1.2 litre fiat punto. After my accident i switched my remap off.

When i finally got my car back I swore the garage had managed to switch my remap back on! I was zooming all over the place! It was like wooah this is great! Anyway i hooked my laptop up and, nope remap was still off. turned it back on again and WOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Edit: Just gave him a rang and it's not the same car and the original car was not chipped/mapped to his knowledge.

I'm actually from Southern Ireland and test drove a black FR in that garage last year. I've since bought a Fabia vRS but remember the FR from the test drive and it seemed appreciably quicker than my vRS.
