I'm getting the part indicated with the arrows painted and wondering if it can be detached from the bumper or if its all a single molding.

The grill does detach but it's got several plastic weld holding it on to rest of the bumper but it's all once piece

It's not plastic welded on. It's held on by clips to the back of the bumper. It's removable for painting no problem

The honeycomb and the flat grey part around the number plate are one piece. And that piece is clipped to the bumper

Na neither am i, i will be going to the local sprayer for a quote, hopefully he can mask up around it.

If my sprayer can do it in one day, i.e i drop the car off in the morning and pick it up later on then i'll get it sprayed. From what i can gather the front grills are pretty cheap so i think i might just buy a new set of them and have them sprayed.

Just remove the bumper and get him to do it off the car, takes a mere few minutes
