Sorry made a mistake on the title what i meant to ask was is the cupra r lower than the standard LEON

i am about to fit 18inch cupra r alloys to my standard leon, do you think its gonna make the car look too high?

i have the full cupra r bodykit fitted including side skirts, will it look good or crap?

Yep LCR is about 11mm lower than standard range.

Yea the car will still sit higher as normal with 18s but thats when you 'slam it man low rider stylee'
You want it to look like a LCR, so get those collies on asap. Guessing lower it by about 40mm......& itl look like mine!!

Sorry no pics at present.
'collies'= Coilovers (adjustable suspension kits)

You see 11mm is poss not that much but your trying to make it a LCR and 18s under the arches wont look odd. Get the suspension sorted & itl look like the LCR........well apart from the interior & engine...ill stop now:whistle:

lol i couldnt afford to pay insurance for cupra r so ended up buying a SX model, ive spent about £1200 on bodykit, spraying, alloys, fitting to make it a cupra r replica, so far its looking good but i was worried it might look funny once i fit the alloys making the car look too high from the side view.

anyone got any links for cheap coilovers? how much do they cost to fit? is it a hard job?

:)

Hey afz. you done a good job there:funk:If you know it looks good to you like a LCR, then 10-11mm is not going to look odd.
Guess you want it to handle like a LCR?

Cheap collies are just that & your not going to adjust it that much if at all.
Koni FSDs with springs is a good choice, not sure of your SX fittment.

Hit that search button for koni, eibach, h&r to name but a few.
There are lots of Tuning Co's on the site too so click click:)

Hard to say as long as we don't know for sure how low a standard Cupra is :)

I was asking myself the same question, what is the correct ground clearance on Cupra/FR and Cupra R. The FR is advertised as being 18-20mm lower than a standard Leon 1.8T (1439mm height instead of 1457mm), but what the ground clearance is I couldn't find out. (On Ibiza is 124mm) More knowledgeable members please answer
