Just test drove the a new Cupra and im well impressed.

It goes a lot quicker than you think you are going! (If you catch my drift)

The only thing is it seems too quiet from the inside when you nail it, not sure what it sounds like from the outside.

I think it should be louder, what do you reckon?:shrug:

I shouldn't think so, unless this government have a cunning plan to outlaw mods, (like the french do), I've mot'd several modded cars and no worries over emissions or noise...

Yep, it's to quiet with original exhaust !
But with a full Milltek exhaust it become just great !!

I cut out resonator and second cat and the noise is very cool!!!!!!!

When U cut away only the resonator, how does the sound change?
Resonators name sounds like its the for it`s reasons? Resonation?

U dont want any deep tones from the exhaust inside the car, when letting of the trottle.

The resonator, does it have flanges, so you can bolt the straight pipe or does it need welding?

Cupra averaged 41mpg once
regarding non-resonated sections, AwesomeGTi sell them but it says that it's for Leon FR. Does anyone think (or know) if it will fit a Mk2 Cupra?

I dont how does the sound change when you cut just the resonator, but if you cut the second cat too, car is very loud. For someone maybe too much. So I think you should start with resonator, just cut it and put straight pipe.

Instead of cutting out the second box out of the exhaust for a better sound, would it not be better buying an induction kit for that nice grunt when the cars under "load" instead?

And maybe a small impovement in perforance?

The exhaust mod may cost £ 60

Induction kit £ 100??

What do you reckon?

I think you can cat the resonator and also buy induction kit

I think that an induction kit, unless you splurge out on either a Dblias or Neuspeed/Evoms CAI's, is money wasted, better to save up for the real deal, as all you'll achieve is more noise and less power, all induction kits do is suck in loads of hot air, not good for any fuel-injected motor, so look to budget at least £250 for the CAI, and £80 for the exhaust mod, you really won't regret it, you'll be :D :D :D

The dv I don't notice too much, the quick shift however transforms the gearchanges, soo much crisper, as I haven't rolling roaded mine yet, I can't give any precise power figures, but I've noticed a large increase in torque above 4k, and it revs soo freely, it's difficult to stay within legal speed limits :D
