is my rear screen broken / indicator?

1. my rear demister kinda works, except even after being on for 20 mins in doesnt demist completely between the horizontal lines....is this normal leon behaviour???!!!

2. sometimes my indicator stays on and doesnt blink if that makes sense then other times its fine...is this a poor earth or a common issue? any ideas what to check as i have no clue!!!!

you could have a broken track on the scree

probably the stalk or user error
