Is it worth to replace the touch screen display unit?

Dear all,

first let me say sorry in advance for my weak english skills.

I have a Seat Leon ST Reference S&S from 06.2013 with 1.2 TSI engine. It was a really good deal, but I’m not really satisfied with multimedia. I’ve the basic black and white touch screen with an SD slot, and it looks really bad. I would like to change it for the coloured one, and I’ve already found some on ebay (5F0 919 603 A) on affordable price. I would order it but I’m not sure if it would work or not in my car. Could somebody please help me with answering for a few question?

1. Can the connectors be connected?

2. Is there a slot for SD card? I can’t see it. If not then what?

3. Will the new functions work? Like navigation / BT phone

4. Will the park pilot be displayed on it? Of course I already have the sensors and it works fine, but it just beeps and it is not displayed on the screen.

Thank you in advance for your answers!

I would go for this Alpine unit. Specifically made for the Leon and u get all the same menus and it works with parking sensors. You will also get full link with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Thank you for your advice, but I want to have the original, stock screen only. On the other hand this alpine unit is ten times more expensive as the original seat from second hand. Therefore my questions are still open.
Thanks again!
