IPOD connection on a 07 Cupra

Guys,

I picked up my 07 Cupra Last night following waiting 3 months to find the right on. I have spent the day today mesing with all the toys. One of which is the IPOD connection in this model its located under the drivers seat, and is the form of a male IPod connection as you would insert onto if it was a docking station.

This isn't a problem as I expected it to be like this, however I have an Ipod Touch and this will not fit in the relevant gap and I am therefore looking for advice to how to get around this as I do not want to buy another Ipod for the car.

I have looked under the seat and I can pull out the case that the Ipod sits in and I imagine that the USB connection can be disconnected and and I can remove the casing and then insert the Ipod cable to enable me to use the touch.

Another thing I have notice is that the previous owner obviously had an ipod classic style Ipod and has a case/holder located on the window screen above the interior mirror, has technology advanced that much that I can have a wireless connection?

I would prefer another option that would allow me to use the touch. Anyone got any suggestions?

Cheers

Jim

connects 2 do kits which allow control through the exhisting radio and charge the ipod, with the touch it must be version 8 or higher to work

CTASTIPOD009

This plugs into the back of the radio and then can be put (within the length of cable) anywhere in the car.
If it is too short the power loom can be extended

Thanks, I've now managed to get the Ipod touch playing with the car just pursuaded the Touch into the dock and the music played, however I dont get to select the track or track information, It plays as if CD and only goes 1 2 3 and 6 but what the skip arrow is pushed stops the play.

Any suggestions before I storm the stealers tomorrow and make myself probably look stupid lol.
