Hello
I have an IPod classic 80 GB I would like to leave plugged in as a HDD drive as a music library, however, the media system keeps putting up a message ‘Device not recognised’. I have taken this to the dealer and they claim that the IPod is not supported so I challenged by pointing out I get the same message with my iphone 5S (which is supported), at this point I was told that the iphone only connects through a Bluetooth (which does work correctly) but on most similar systems when the Bluetooth is turned off the iphone starts working like an IPod touch on the external screen.
Could someone tell me if they have had similar issues and should an IPod classic connect through the USB port? I think it should be having a hard time getting the dealer to accept this.
Not sure if there is another thread on this somewhere if so point me in the right direction and I would appreciate it.
Thank you for any assistance you might have.
