Simple question, sure it's probably been asked before.

I want to have an ipod connector in the glove box, and still be able to use the disk changer, is it possible?

Nope,

If you use the ipod connector, it connects to the CD changer port on the back of the standard head unit.

It 'fools' your standard head unit into thinking it has a cd changer connected to it.

Infact, it picks up the first 5 playlists from your ipod, and you can quick access them from the 1-5 buttons on the headunit.

To switch from the fm radio to ipod, you push the (can't remember what's on the button, i think its CD 6) cd changer button.

Hope that helps and answers your question!

Read something about that, think 6 does something else, you would imagine the source RDS button would switch back to radio.

Could you get a switch inside glove box?

I actually think a switch would work.... I really can't see why not?

It's like having 2 cd changers but your fooling the hu by having an ipod, unless the dealer re-configures the hu when install ipod connection??? hmm..

I think a simple switch would do it, worth a try - I would be interested to know if it works!
