It's in for a mini service today along with full coil packs (all 4)

2001 Cupra 20vt - 56k miles - Belt service done at 49k - Full dealer history

Totally standard apart from the obvioud coding and anth wheels, Has the 6cd changer in the back (not sure if they all have it)... Also has brembo brakes?! Again are these standard?

Plans are lowering, spacers, and a remap

Opinions and advice welcome

Also, i've agreed a price for it - What you guys think it's worth?

Looks alrite that mate. I personally wouldnt pay more than £3500 for any cupra esspecially a standard one

Thats a nice looking car mate, i'd say anything from £3400-4000 would be a good price!

I wanted a standard one so i knew it hadn't been put under massive stress, Also want a project so i know exactyl what work has been done on it

Agreed a price of £3200

Bargain imo, Wheels are flawless as is the paintwork. Pleased it's been coded aswell!

I think its just the picture, still paint work is never the same in pictures as in real life. If they are definatly brembos up front that you got a good deal!

I never got a good chance to look at them but he said it has brembo's... i said they're non standard and he said he thinks they were

Which made me think it might have been an R, but it's not

I'm not clued up ont he cupra's yet

Only thing I don't understand is if its not an R but does have brembo's, someone must have put them on there but not do 1 single thing to the rest of the car?

Imo brembo's are quite an expensive purchase, so surely they would throw on a open airfilter or something which is relatively cheap as well? Or is that just me? lol

I've not had a proper look yet, doubt they're brembo's as he said they were standard!

Had it on diagnostics tonight and removed the P1355 code as it had new coil packs fitted - just saves removing the battery and losing all the settings.

Pleased with the car at the min, Just need to get it polished and remapped

What's the beef with the mirrors? Where can i get a full size or smaller one so they match

yeh you need to try and buy a stubby mirror. Usually some floating about german ebay

I want those wheels

they mite not be the proper brembo upgrade with the calipers brembo do a normal groved disc upgrade for the non R models aswell for some reason they also do these for the R no idea why mabe incase you decide to downgrade your standard R setup.
