I've just bought a USB VAG-COM cable and have the 409.1 version demo of VAG-COM but I can't get it to find my interface when trying to test! Can anyone help? :(

Cheers

Do you have an aftermarket HU in the car? I found that with my old Ibiza you sometimes had to pull the fuse for it in order to get vagcom to communicate.

I'm having the exact same problem using a USB cable from E-bay, tried alsorts including USb to Comm port converter and trying through comm port. No success although it does complete an LED test but fails to detect interface.

If you have any breakthrough let us know and I'll do the same.

When you installed the VAGCOM cable, ensure you have in assigned to port 1, 2, 3 or 4.

When i first installed mine, it was assigned to port 8, and VAGCOM only recognises 1->4.

I reassigned it in device manager to port 3, and it works :)
