Intercooler cleaning

My alloy allard intercooler is now getting tarnished looking with caked on dirt, any ideas to get it shining again??

i guess the salt on the road at the moment isnt helping, cant say i know of any products to get it back to new look externally though micky. surely the less shiney it is the more stealth it will be, which in my view is a good thing.

it'll never look new since it'll be untreated alu (which will corrode)

but don't jetwash it

brush, hose & gentle agitation.

i suppose it nots important, but it did look well when i had the bottom grill pulled off.

I bought some autuglym stuff at the weekend and when i get a chance im gonna use it when i get chance.

dont know if this is good or not but found out alloy wheel cleaner acidic one when put on aluminium reacts with it quick rub and it came up shiny i found this out by accident when i spilt some on a bit of aluminium please someone correct me if this is really bad just thought i would share what i found out

Anyone know if autoglym "metal polish" would help? I'm in the same boat as Micky. The IC is starting to dull quite a bit. I've got contact details for a pro mobile polishing service, so might just use them.

Can you use good old fashioned Gunk? Do they still make good old fashioned Gunk?

A nice powder coat in black will sort that out
