i have a custom map on my car specifically for the mods i have and im currently running at 215bhp, with summer coming i know that with my standard SMIC im going to see loads of heatsoak so i want to get a Front Mount, can i do this or will it clash with my map as it hasnt been mapped with an FMIC in mind, surely it will just aid intake temps and will just keep the temps low? hard to explain but surely running a FMIC in the summer is like running a SMIC in the winter - its only going to affect temps - nothing else?

Wont make a difference. And i very much doubt your map is specific for your car either, its probably just a generic map tweaked a bit for mods.

Wouldnt worry about it.

you will only see benefits with an FMIC, lower temps = less timing pull = quicker car

Required a battery reset after fitting but after that you wilkl notice a nice difference.

you will laugh at the size of the standard SMIC

it should be able to run optimised if induction temps are under control. this is std bosch ecu control... its winds settings back when it see too high a temp, so if its all under control temp wise, it will run consistently.

it will help, especially when the warmer weather comes. std SMIC just is'nt up to it.
you wont need to adjust mapping, ecu does this itself

in simple terms... Yes ok - do it

:D
