do you think this one can give me any gains with the following setup

k04 023 with all the stuff
2,5" catlless exhaust
forge fmic
4 bar + tt injectors
bigger tip

the tuner here can get 275 hp ouf of this/420 NM with the oem intake manifold

so can this manifold give any gains?

equal filling is its idea.. dual plenum..
I ran a similar creation. when I changed it to single, larger plenum on larger throttle body I gained 32bhp... go figure. (on an already 485bhp)

all depends on what your turbo setup can flow as to expected gains (if any)

looks like it..
gains on the one like 007 and the new one I will get shortly are deshrouded injector bungs, which model and flowbench significant gains. (also smallport vs largeport so more flow potential)

so do you guys think this one will help a bit with a k04-023 setup?

or not worth the money(price is now around 185 pound)

been looking for this and cant find the listing, you got a link, but that does just look like a standard manifold with a differant plenham, could have adverse effects?

just had a quick scan through that link and it looks like hes calling the v5 quatro engine a 20v, i thouht the v5 and 20vs were differant:confused:

you mean 5V not V5 ?

modern 4cyl road cars use 5V badging as in 5v per cylinder = 20valve

the very early cars were 5cyl so 2v per cyl = 10v then became 4 per cyl = 20v

Beeza owners take note of this pic as its looks more or less where the ABF design came from

your head is smallport yea?
this manifold is largeport yea?

So you will get a step down into the head.

no idea if you will see any gains - sorry.
its a mismatch of parts imho

found a similar looking majifold as such last week looking into plenum design on my hot rod

Audi seems to have developed designs over a few years to something very similar

http://www.bufkinengineering.com/intake manifolds.htm

check that out - good read that

Good find that flapper.
seen some of it before..

that said, my dual plenum manifold was largeport, as is the 007 mani with R32 t'body. 32bhp gains from swapping from dual plenum + larger throttle body alone speaks volumes.. I think majority of gain is t'body, but the slot design on the dual plenum I had (modelled from Dahlback/Skoda/Lehmann) had an area equal to the throttle body. Simply chaging the throttle body on my dual plenum would have caused a choke to airflow in the system.
The new incarnations are FIA restrictor turbo motors which is a different setup again to the early no holds barred audi 5cyl motors.

all interesting stuff tho. :)
