i wanted a tdi 150 but in the end couldnt warrant spending the money,

im looking at 1.8 t 20v cupra, and the cupra R.

the best insurance quote i've been able to get is £1900 which is too expensive

i've currently got a mk2 golf gti 8v which is insurance group 14 and the cupra is a 16 / 17.

i've checked with adiral, with my mum on policy (to get a few hundred off) low miles and social only.

what insurance company is good for cupra Rs / cupras...

or am i just living in a dream world being 20 with 1 year NCB, driving for 2 years

cheers

Hi,

try A-Plan insurance on 01635 874646. They beat my best quote for my LCR by over £700.00.

TDI 150 is group 13.... and i'm a little puzzled, but why are insurance companies quoting me the same price for my current leon cupra 20VT (group 16) than a new (on the way) FR TDI 150!

Adrian Flux are allways worth a call. If you are a member of a car enthusiasts club like SCN then you get 10-15% off.

tesco quoted me £350 for a TDi 150 FR

but i'm 33 with 16 years clean licence and 15years NCD

doesn't matter what i get quoted on, still comes out between £300-£400

pug costs £302, that's with business class 1, parked on Licenced premises, and 30k miles a year!!!!

Liverpool victoria - STAGGERINGLY CHEAP. But you cant have any driving convictions.

Chris Knott. Even with my BAN for totting up to 12 pts and the TT99 code, they still dont really charge me any more than if i didnt have the ban.

Amazing.

I have ALWAYS found that these lying robbing gits that promise to lessen your premiums by x % are complete rip offs. That includes the admirals, direct lines, sainsburies, tescos, AA, etc etc...all of them have always quoted me at least 50% more than I pay with the people i go to.

Ashbourne are also a good broker I found.
