insurance problem

alright guys

have been insured on my ibiza cupra since april and it is up for renewel at the end of this month. last eyar i paid £1700 with elephant buying it over the internet. just had my renewal price and it is £2800. i aint made a claim but back in jluy i got caught speeding on the motorway.

elephant say the grand is because a) i got 3 points and b) there have been loads of cupra crashs this year so its ratin has gone up.

My problem is when i enter all my details on their website i get a price of £1500.

and thats enterin my ticket, crashs, everything.

any ideas

anyone found this?

just cancel it with them and then reinsure yourself through their internet site, thats there problem, not yours, perfectly legal

If they make the mistake they still have to provide you with the policy if it will let you buy over the net at that price.

Ring them and tell them that you want it for the same price as the internet quote. If they say no, cancel it and do it online with them.

Failing that, cancel it and do it with www.bell.co.uk because they are normally very close to elephants price.

so muhc so she wants me to sell the car for something "normal"

Elephant did exactly the same to me last year when I added 3 points to my policy. As suggested go through the website and get it there, thankfully my 5 year NCD is this year.... bye bye nelly!

Elephant/Admiral/most companies do this in the hope you won't shop around or check up...

2800 is crazy money..

i would leave elephant as they dont acsept more than 2 mods and arnt any cheeper than other companys that do.

Elephant/Admiral/Bell/Diamond are all the same company, you'll always get stiffed on a renewal as they think people will just be too lazy to shop around. Get your quote online and get them to match it or move to one of the others

dont worry, go with the internet price.

YOU ARE NOT CANCELLING ANYTHING.
you are just not renewing so you are not doing anything wrong.

most insurance companies give rubbish renewals, but change their tune when you point out you will move on.
