Installing fog lights

Hi, I have a Seat Ibiza 1.2 MK4, and I would really like to add front fog lights. does anyone know where I can buy them. Also are they reasonably easy to fit, with clear instructions, or would it be worth taking it to the dealers, and get them to install it for me. I've ordered a workshop manual, would that help.

Right well, first off there is a kit available with wiring, switch, both lamps. For about £130 iirc from seat (cheapest option here Im afraid). To change the switch and the fog lamps is easy, the hard part is running the wiring if you have had experiance with audio it might not be hard.

Baisicly you need to run the wire from the passanger side as its the only free grommet under the dash and under the seering wheel into the driver side part of the dash plug the new wire in (replaces a wire if I remember).

thanks GUINNESS very helpful indeed. is access into the dash easy, for funning the wireto the switch. also will it need to be wired into the fuse box or is this done through the switch.

cheers.

its done through the switch mate, just gets grounded in the engine bay, and a wire swaped in the switch connector. Access to the dash is a dodgey one, if you take it apart (quite easy just torx screws) Only thing major to be carefull of is the passanger airbag dont pull the cables!

Hi there,

No I never did. If its the actual wiring up of it, I could draw up some simple wiring diagrams for to work from, if you tell me what wiring/electrical bits, you got in the kit.

I have done this, was rather fiddly i used a metal coat hanger to pull the wire through the passnger side free hole, then removed the cd player and ran the wire through their and under the steering wheel now im just stuck on which connector to plug it in :(

Hi guys, just read through this thread, I recently bought a "cupra look" front bumper for my Ibiza 6L, and wondered if anyone knows how the fog lights fit onto the trim? The new bumper has come with the fog light "trims" molded on, but there seems to be no fittings to put it on? Wondering if I'll have to cut the mold out and buy trims separately!
