Hi,

I myself have a CUPRA Leon from 2021. Since I saw the facelift model I started wondering if parts can be used from the new model and put on the old version.

If someone tries the new multi media screen on pre-facelift version and it works, let me know!

Obviously big things like tailgate, front bumper and such are not worth it since it would be really expensive and a lot of work, however, the panels of the center console are normally plastic but can be exchanged for leather versions. Installation isn’t difficult, only need torx 20, a plastic trim tool and a good mindset. Should take about 20 minutes roughly.

Anyway, here is the guide:

1. check if your panel has the same attachment points as in the picture, but I doubt there are different versions (apart from left and right)

Part numbers for me:
V5FB863487A WXY
V5FB863488A WXY
Roughly 190€ for both.

2. remove screws front side of the lower panels (can also cover these in leather, but I like the contrast between panels)

3. Remove 3 screws from both sides, locations in pictures for both sides

4. Remove the upper panels by first lifting the rear up, then ‘sliding’ them out.

*Note that with the right side (passenger seat) you have to bend the screw hole to get it out. I marked it in the pictures.

5. Clean it up or use tape to dampen any item

6. Install in reverse order. Be careful not to scratch or break anything, since leather is easily damaged from sharp items.

7. End result. It looks like factory made. You can also remove panels and let a company add leather to it, but it might not fit as well afterwards.
