'INSP' message has come up

Hey does anyone know how to get INSP off?? I left my playstation on overnite and the battery went flat. When i got the car started again the feckin INSP thing started flashing.

I dont fancy paying Seat to take it off. And i've looked at other threads but most relate to the mk2/3s. Please sum1 help its doin my head in!!!!!! :mad:

It's in the manual mate, something to do with turning off ignition, holding mileage reset button whilst turning ignition on again and keeping it held in for at least 10 seconds. Try using the advanced search function to search only MK4 threads, it was posted not too long ago.

Yup, as above. Just search the MK4 forum for INSP.
I think you have to hold it for longer before you turn ignition on.
I actually took mine to Seat and a chap came out to the car and sorted it within about 15 seconds, no charge obviously!

Yep, as above when I got mine it had been serviced but the light not reset. Took it to Seat in Cambridge, drove it round to the garages and the bloke did it immediately. Took him no time at all and no charge.

That happened to mine before too but it was OIL that came up. Will say to SEAT tonite and see if they'll reset it for free. Hopefully they shud since i'm spendin over £100 on my strut brace, PD160 intake and lcr splitter.

hold in the button to reset your mileage. (which ignition and everything off.) while holding this button in, turn the ignition on and leave for 5 seconds (or until it clears). dont start the car though mate.
