My inner boot moulding has been removed at some time and the careless halfwitt that re-fitted it, only put about half the fixings back on. I found this the cause of rattling, so I got some replacement spring clips from Seat. These worked well, but there are still two fixings missing.

The normal spring clip which covers most of the attachement points, brings the moulding slot together with the mating slot in the boot, in-line. The clips I need bring the two together 90 degrees out.
I have asked Seat and they do not have these listed on their system.

The clips are located in the lock side of the moulding, about 14 inches apart symetrical over the centre.

Can anyone help me???

Hi Mate, ive got the same problem, when the window tinter removed the plastic casing, looks as if he snapped most of the clips putting it back on, Surprisingly he didnt tell me, and only when i investigated a quite loud rattle did i notice.

Do Seat provide the clips as a set or do you have to purchase individually.

The clips don't come in a kit so you will need to find out how many you need. There are 3 types of fixing.... 2 cap head screws that hold the main moulding on, 2 of the 90 degree spring clips I need and the rest are the main spring clip. There are about 10 of these required to get the mouldings to sit correctly and ensure no rattles. See the picture attached. Please excuse the school boy drawing.

Its easy to tell if the mouldings are not secure just by pressing the outside. There should be minimal and even movement all round.

You may also find, like i did, that some clips are located in just the boot lid side. They will rattle like a babys toy like this as its metal to metal contact

So a search on this and there is a guide on how to safely remove and refit both mouldings.
