17669 - Pump-Jet Valve: Cylinder 1 (N240): Regulation Range Exceeded

Got the above code coming up and under a light throttle it feels like its not firing right, i am guessing there is a problem with the injector?

But i have looked around and prices for a new one range from like 100-750 quid for a single injector ?

I have pd150 injectors in at the moment but have got the old pd100 injectors at home.
I might try taking one of my old pd100 ones apart n cleaning it, if i can do it without breaking it then i will remove the faulty pd150 one from my engine and do the same and hope it sorts it. Good idea ?

Any help or advice would be great.
Ive found guides on other sites and also some diagrams as to how they go together but i wouldnt mind hearing your thoughts on it as there are some knowledgable people on here :funk:

Thanks for any help
Dan

I was gonna put "wish me luck" aswell.
What happened with yours then if you dont mind me asking. Was it engine internals that were damaged then?

thanks again for the help.

Not done one, but from memory I think you need a jig to hold the top and bottom in place whilst unscrewing the union, there is a small pin inside which WILL shear if you just grip both ends and turn:blink:

You are correct my friend, ive read acouple of online guides (good old internet) and ive got a list of tools required so i can give it a go if i have to. But i have found a company that will re-furb it for me for £20 + £7 postage so not bad at all really.

Ok, update time (for anyone whos interested)
I always run my car with millers sp4 in the tank to try and avoid probelms like this and generaly to keep her running smooth and a little less smokey
Anyway, i bought some 1shot injector cleaner stuff from halfords to give that a go aswell, so with almost a full tank a fuel i added the injector cleaner and went for a good long drive, dont do many motorway miles so jumped on the motorway and gave it a good long drive. Then i proceded to the private test track and gave its lungs a good clean
Happy days it seems to be a little better.
Now im not saying its 100% but it isnt as noticable at all and it isnt doing it all the time maybe just under certain throttle and between certain revs so an improvement.
Im going to try using BP fuel for the next couple of fills as i always use shell vpower diesel, so just for a change im going to try that and see if its any different, who knows.
Ill try to keep this thread updated because whn i had the problem, google was my friend so maybe this will help somebody else.

Does sounds from the error code it's related to the injector itself, rather than engine internals.
