If your music via USB sounds like it is having random static/popping/glitching, or is randomly skipping tracks.. try a different USB stick! I didn't believe it was either - especially since the same one worked fine in my Mk5 Ibiza and continued to work fine on my PC after double checking - but I tried it on the off-chance and haven't had issues since.
..at least my Infotainment is now up-to-date, having being convinced it was the cause ?
