Hi everyone. Been a member since last month. Have had my Cupra for a month now and have been looking at the software and maps versions. By the looks of it, the system has never been updated (see attached). The system can be buggy sometimes and carplay has its moments where it bounces between screens all on its own. I know there's a lot of information on here but seeing as it is still on the original software, can I realistically update any of this myself? Had my Haldex serviced by Quattro-Tech in St. Ives this morning and they said they can't update any mmi stuff as Seat don't allow anyone, even VAG specialists to do so. I contacted Seat Letchworth just now and they are quoting me more than £260 for the labour to update the system as it will take a couple of hours going through each version to get to the current.
With maps they are quoting me "around £250" for the SD card with the latest maps which I thought was extortionate. I know I don't necessarily need the maps updated as I have carplay and can use Google Maps but I like to have options.
Would like to know people's thoughts and advice. Thanks.
