Go for a green panel filter and modify your standard air box with a cold air feed. Just as good as any induction kit and alot cheaper!

thats my view anyway and what I have done :)

I first put a pipercross panel filter in the standard airbox, then went for a massive quikshift cone filter. Now running a Jetex cone filter which I got from Badger5 and has been the best option out of the ones I have used.

Open cone for me is the definate answer, the engine sounds so much better & I for one have had no problems with regards to performance!!

Green cotton panel filter is what im using along with a smoothed/drilled air box & a bigger cold feed. Cheap very effective and no issues with heat soak... jobs a gooden!

Id recommend the Jetex too, the car felt more responsive and it makes a great noise too :D

i was told the cda are too restrictive. infact i heard the cda are more restrictive than the standard air box. jetex and green cotton seem to be best, probably down to the quality of the filteration itself.

tempted to get an induction kit myself. was looking at the standard filter at the weekend and the air intake to the filter box looks pretty rubbish just seems to disappear to the side of the battery. can see how a cone filter would really help the flow of air to the engine.

how easy are they to fit? and what type of prices are you looking at for a Jetex?

so just the cone filter from jetex? (FR-08001 for example) no need for the actual induction kit from them?

I have a bmc intake, restrictive ? would I really be better off ditching the £200 bmc for a £45 jetex, seen the airflow tests on the jetex but not compared to the bmc. Please advise.
