In theory, not really (although sucking in hot air to the intake won't exactly help matters, and reduce power ) but when I had mine on my old car, I hoofed it everywhere to hear the noise and got shocking petrol bills
As said above. if you drive it the same as before you will get the same consumption but you wont be able to hear the induction roar. But to hear that induction roar you need most of the throttle; and thats where your normal fuel consumption goes down the pan!
