Indicators and hazard warning lights problem

I had a similar problem with my 02 Tolly, indicators would flash intermitantly..

I don't remember changing the Hazard switch and indicator relay (all one part) being that traumatic, I think I just removed the radio and got to the back of the switch that way.

I think I just squeezed the securing lugs in and pushed the switch out.
A simple multiway plug later and the new switch was fitted, and all worked fine.

Looking back through my invoices, the replacement part I bought was a 1MO 941 509B and it was a just a tad under £25.00 inc vat.

Best of luck..

Cheers mate, I have had another look at ElsaWin and just like you've said the aura radio has to come out followed by the centre console frame then the switch should pop out and voila swop it.

will try that part number at local VAG parts dealer. think might post guide once done as is quite a common replacement job and some people on here have paid a full hours labour for what is a 15 min job that can be done at home.

I think I might have just got the problem too.

Indicator relay has just started going ballistic by itself, though the lights don't flash you can just hear the relay going mad.

It might be the indicator stalk, as if I hold it slightly down the relay goes click crazy.

Any chance you can post the diagrams from Elsawin about how to replace the switch? How does the centre console frame come off?

Many thanks.
