Is the size of bulb required for the Mk1 Seat Leon indicator '382'? As that's what is said on SCN, what is said on many bulb websites, and even halfords. But... I got some indicator bulbs today (size 382), and they don't fit :(

The ones that are currently in the Leon say on them '382' but the pins on the side at the base of the bulb are not inline, but are at a slight angle to one another. But the pins on the size bulb 382 are straight and inline. So they don't fit! Does that make sense? If required I'll try and get photos later.

What does everyone think? What size should the bulb be??? Has everyone got it wrong? Or is my car 'special'?

Yeah it's chrome ones I'm after!

And the bulbs and packet say 'PY21W' on them. I'm guessing 581 or 382 is the difference in where the pins are placed? Strange why everything says they're size 382 though!

581 is an orange 21w single filament with offset pins (12'clock/7'clock)

382 is a clear 21w single filament with straight pins (12'clock/6'clock)

both bulbs carry the same physical silhouette/dimensions but won't fit in each others holders

Still don't understand why everything says that they should be 382 size and there's no mention of 581 size?!?

Anyway, kind guy on ebay I got my chrome 382s from has said I can exchange them for 581s for free which is good!
