Indcution Kits

Hey all,

Wanting some advice on induction kits. Now i've seen K&N, Pipercross, and Powertec.

What is the difference between the pipercross induction kit, and viper kit?

Also, the pipercorss performance induction kit can be found for £89 some places but the one on the pipercrossshop.co.uk site is £150 - is it different?

Why is the £150 pipercross induction kit double price of K&N induction kit:confused:

What im wanting to know is which are the most 'productive' and which gives the best 'sound', and also does anyone recommend anything else?

Cheers for the advice guys!

As far as i am aware your best bet is either the Viper (250 quid) or BMC (Carbon enclosed kit) or the Green Dynatwist as all of these prevent the car sucking in hot air from the enigine bay which aint good!

Unfortunately these are not cheap by any means!

Anyone else got any thoughts??

hi , i got mine from modshack, it cost me about £140 but you need to get it from the states so it cost me about £160 in total, sounds really good any there are not alot of them going around as you need to get the guy to send themover. have a look at his site.

www.modshack.info

worth a look and works out cheaper than alot of the other good filters

sorry mate, i will get some tomorrow as it is a bit dark at the moment, it is an oval shaped 6x4 but steps down to about 5x3 inside then further in you can see the 3" pipe (if you know what i mean) it should make sense when i put the pictures up tomorrow...or if you have any pictures of your system you could send them to me and i will have a look

hope this helps

Cheers Owen,

Been in touch with Steve @ Modshack - very helpful guy! Thinking im going to go with the VTDA to start with.

Might have to wait a little while for the exhaust but Blueflame will be considered!

Owen (or anyone else),

When you took off the old filter and replaced it with the one from Steve @ Modshack, did you have the original air feed piece pointing into the new filter??

I can fit it two ways::think:

1) It isn't attached with the screw and is resting on top of the old air feed.
2) It is attached with the screw but the old air feed points into the filter.

Please can you advise?

Would you be able to provide a picture?

Much appreciated mate.
