i've got ate powerdiscs on the front and plain ate's on the back but I don't think you can get the powerdiscs (grooved) anymore. I hear the brembo discs are good but I prefer groved discs for the front personally. I avoid drilled discs because they tend to crack.

As for pads go for ferrodo's. they are pricey, but general concencous is they're the best. I've had pagid FR's which I thought were pretty good, at the moment I've got mintex extreme..the initial bite is better than the pagids but I don't trust them when it comes to fade..plus mine squeal under about 15mph so I wouldn't recommend them really! Wanted ferrodo's couldn't wait for delivery.

I'm sure badger5 will be able to sort you out. Or gsf and ecp are good.

I got some fairly decent drilled and grooved discs from ebay for about £80, i proberly wouldnt get drilled again to be honest as now im aware that they have a tendecy to crack but everything seems ok for now been on for a few months now. Ive got ds 2500`s on the front pad wise and cant complain once there warmed up they work very well. Bill recommended this set up to run along side a k03s set up if brembos where not a option. Im running standard on the rear as i dont think theres any need to uprate the rears.

Zimmerman cross drilled discs and pagid fast road pads here, done me pretty well tbh, not cracked and i've done some hard driving.

Upgrading to wilwoods when i get the bolts i need.

Just a quick question in the same subject. Would people say that brembos/willwoods are a 100% must when going K03s? Or would a decent disk and DS2500`s or the like be adaquit for day to day driving with the odd sprint?

I got the calipers, brackets, pads and bells second hand, then bough the discs and braided lines. Come to just over 400 quid for the lot.

Rally design do the mk2 golf 310mm kit, which is what i have.

Pagid 8-groove Fast Road Discs and matching FR5051 pads on the front.

ATE Discs on the rear with Pagid pads.

All sourced from Star Performance.

When I replaced them, I made sure the brake fluid was also replaced with some higher performance stuff (Dot 4.1 or thereabouts, can't quite remember).
