imob problem any ideas

hi

every couple of times i try to start they car the imbolisher wont knock it self off. all i get is the car and key symbol flash at me,after switching the ingtion on and off for a few times it works.

sometime i dont get the problem sometime it takes for ever to switch the imob off, so it intermittent

ive have been reading other forums and it suggest to me that the coil reader around the barrel what faulty

have changed the remote battery just in an off chance made no difference

if anyone can help cheers and anyone no how much the coild reader would be

I've got exactly same problems on my 03 ibiza - tried a new coil reader which cums complete wi barrell @ cost of 90 quid, replaced it and still got same problems!!! Its the most annoying thing in the world! I'm gunna try avin both keys recoded c how i go from there if that fails then i'm gunna try tekin clocks art then soldering the green connector on back of them?????......

Very common problem with the older dials. Lots of threads about.

You can try and solder the connection as people have done this and it can work sometimes.

well i did read on another forum abrt th green connecter and it seem to be sat behind the clocks where the 100mph is. some one said when its playing up turn igntion off and press and hold on the spot then turn the igtion on,

so i fort id give it a ago and they last ten times or more the problem cropped up ive try the method and its worked
