Immobiliser/Stereo issues

Hey all,

I fitted a new aftermarket Pioneer stereo to my mk2 (Cupra 8v) and every time I switch the ignition off I'm losing all the stored info on the stereo including tuned radio stations, audio settings etc. As you can imagine this is a real pain in the arse! I've had aftermarket stereos in before but this hasn't happened (not to this extent anyway) . I assume it's something to to with the immobiliser but I don't really know. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I might be able to solve the problem or what else might be causing it? Cheers.

feeling nice today...been asked loads of times.. swap red & yellow wires over

you old softie :):)

if it's a new one installing as he said above it's the red/yellow to swap over and most modern kit comes with joiners already installed for just this scenario

basically your ignition and permanent lives are mixed up usual vw do it different
