ignition turns radio off?

hello, don't know if this is a stupid question or not - does anyone know why the radio turns itself off when you turn on the ignition - thanks - david

have u not tryed searching?....quite easy really, all u do is press the volume button...and wow look at that the radio comes on lol

really rick, that's an earth shaker! - of course i have tried to turn the radio back on oh great one, it doesn't work! that's why i asked the question - thanks wick! (oops damn keyboard, gotta practice my typing)

well u'll be supprised at how many people that had asked that and didnt push the volume button, but yea i thought the radio does come on with the ignition off but the key still in
