ignition problem

hi all im haveing a problem with my 99 v5 150 toledo agz engine,the car feels like its running on 3-4 cyls only,it happened a few weeks ago but only for an hourish then went ok,then on sunday the problem started again but this time has not gone away,i took it to my mate who tested my leads and i put new plugs in,we also checked each port from the coil pack and 1 of them was not sparking so thinking it was the coil pack went to a breakers an tried the coil pack they give me (of a 99 toly agz engine)but this did not sort the problem out.im goin to try vag com later when my mate gets back,but was wandering if any1 has any ideas???

is the coil pack and the ignition amplifier the same thing??

no coil pack bolts to engine with your leads going to the plugs and ignition amp is normally bolted to bulkhead at back of engine bay and controls coil if amp faulty it wont fire all plugs giving missfire

hi have tried vag-com but its not showing any faults,any ideas any1

also ive noticed its off and on where itll go ok for a bit but then back to not sparking
