idle problem!!!

hi all,
when my leon is idling it seems 2 do so at 500rpm, but recently it has been idling at 1000rpm but when i turm the car off and back on again it goes back 2 500rpm, i find this really weard as it was only idling at 1000rpm when the fan came on after standing still for a while, which i accepted!!!
is this a problem o what, could somone help?

Mine idles round 1200 to start then drops down to 800...Has it stalled on you yet?

no aint stalled at all!! when its cold it idles about 1200 and come 2 think about it it drops 2 about 500/800 ish!! was finding it weard cos it was still idaling at 1000 after a long trip...

Long as the rev needle is jumping around at idlt, I wouldn't worry

An ECU reset and Throttle Body alignment might cure this problem. Have a search for info on both, they are straight forward enough to do

Exact same problem.Its not causing any difference to the way it drives though, but battery did go flat about 2wks ago. poss happened since then
