Ice HELP part 2!!!!!

some one please help me...

i did a search on the forums to see what was needed to fit an alpine headunit in to my 2006 ibiza cupra tdi. from what i couldt work out it was just an antenna booster.

so can some 1 tell me what to do. as i know have a few things wrong with my car.

1) the stereo reset its self when i take the key out!! is this the case of reverse the red and yellow wire?

2) when i take my key out the ignition normally the doors unlock... now i have a BIG delay! what have i not wired in properly?

3) since i got to get the stereo out again which is a pain as there not much room in the ibiza for aftermarket stereos. where do i put the dimmer cable so its dims with the lights?

You got the ignition/permanent live the wrong way round. Don't connect red to red, it actually red to yellow. Tried to do a picture but this is from memory

? mark about the BIG delay, could be cause of the HU being incorrectly installed.

also the dimmer wire is on the same ISO Loop as the power from the vehicle, think its the one this the wire with a blue stripe. You'll need to use a scotch lock or what ever you prefer to splice the wire together.

I had the unlocking problem when i had red->red and yellow->yellow so fixing that will fix both 1 and 2.

The manual should state which cable is the dimmer - ive got a feeling its the pink one on my alpine but could be wrong.

I had the unlocking problem when i had red->red and yellow->yellow so fixing that will fix both 1 and 2.

The manual should state which cable is the dimmer - ive got a feeling its the pink one on my alpine but could be wrong.

Thought smee ment which one is it from the vehicle, because he posted up that picture which tells him it the orange one.

sorted now reversed teh cables and presto unlocks when told to
