Hi all, any body out there having problems with 1.2 AZQ ibiza.
Poor power, fuel economy fault code P0106 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance Problem, clear code fault still occurs MAP sensor supply signals and manifold preasure tests good
throttle body cleaned and re-adapted,compressions good 150psi all cylinders.
Timming checked exhaust camshaft out by three teeth. Modified chain tensioner and guides suspectable to jump from cold or when turning engine off as exhaust cam kicks back.
Starting to get a few problems with these engines keep an eye out folks.

Can we have this in English please? You know, properly constructed sentances and all that nonsense?

Plain as it is timming chain tensioner failing causing valve timming to jump, is that ok

Well I understand it:
The timing chain has a tendency to jump a few teeth, sending the camshaft timing out.

Ahh i think this is what happened to SirSparksters at some point! Good bit of info mate thanks, especially useful as many Mk4's are starting to head out of warranty.

Id also expect the forum 'regulars' to read the post TWICE before flaming the poor guy; im no techie, but i understood. It is this sort of info we all need...

It wasn't flaming, it was just a request for posts to be properly constructed. If you need to read it twice, then it's not really clear is it?
