ive just bought an ibiza tdi 110 sport on a 51 plate, im happy with the car but want a bit more from it, im into cars but have limited knowledge on the ibizas.

i was wondering if an exhaust from a golf (or any other higher power diesel) PD TDI would fit without too much messing (im guessing a PD zorst would be larger bore).

ive also seen the lagune FMIC fitted to the cupras, would this fit my oil burner?

finally would the suspension ( 2nd hand coilovers) fit from any other models (golf, polo etc?)

any help will be appreciated

no the golf one wont fit, to be honest i wouldnt bother, the exhaust isnt a limiting factor in the power of the car, its free flowing enough for more power, it only really changes the noise or improves turbo spool up a little on a TDI.

No ones done the laguna fmic for a TDI, but i guess theres no reason why not, you need to up the power somemore before you need the FMIC though.

For more power i would get a green cotton panel filter, then remap by Upsolute who have a great track record with the non PD engines. This will take it to about 135bhp. if you want more after that your looking at bigger injectors (transporter TDI ones), bigger turbo and then a FMIC.

be careful because with just remap to around 135hp you may have clutch slipping very quickly!

as for FMIC no point in going for unless you aim for power > 170hp
of course it will make no harm but there's plenty of fun for less money

Mine has 139hp and 290Nm of torque and no slippage, at 120K km. Never heard of clutches slipping with just a remap on a 110 TDi. I even know about a couple of 110 TDi's with 170-ish hp (.216 nozzles, GT1749VA, re-map) and no slippage with a stock clutch. It all depends on your driving style and how aggressive the map is (torque spike).

alright, you're right, my bad.

I have 90hp with 110hp injectors and its 90hp version that has weaker clutch.
So I'm only going to remap it to around 130hp to avoid problems and additional costs of changing clutch.

ahh and whats more clutch problems appear if you go over 300nm apparently.

thanks peeps, what turbo would fit without too much messing and is there anything else needed for the conversion? im not wanting crazy power but my cousin has a knackard 115 mk4 golf tdi engine from a 2001 and i wondered if the turbo was any better on that cos it would be free, also i know a lot of salvage breakers as i used to work at a car auction, my uncle also owns a breakers yard so if i can get any trick bits for cheap it would be rude not to. finally, what are these mods? .216 nozzles, GT1749VA.. thanks again
