Ibiza Replacement Due?

Hi Guys,

I'm currently a vRS owner over on Briskoda, but I'm toying with the idea of an Ibiza Cupra TDi - is it due replacement soon or a relatively recent model?

I think it was introduced in 2004 and had a minor facelift earlier this year. I don't think the new Ibiza will be available for a couple of years at least and I wouldn't expect a new Cupra version for a few months after launch. I haven't seen anything definite yet though.

Bear in mind residual values are not particularly strong so a nearly new one might be a better bet than a brand new one, unlike the vRS.:)

Skoda usually gets the new chassis of the Polo approx 6-12 months before. So th new Fabia will be out late next year, followed by the New Polo by May 2008 with the Ibiza shortly afterward. Saying that, this is only approximate with what has happened with VW cars in this generation.

Spanny's right,
new Ibiza mk5 due out in 2008, not sure how far in the year tho.
From the front and side it looks like a 3 door mini Leon2, but from the rear, it's a bit too Ford KA

might look better in the flesh tho
it was pictured in Auto-Express earlier this year (prior to the facelift coming out)
