Hi, I'm new here and i would like to ask if it is possible to do such a conversion. I own a seat ibiza Mk2 94' and i would like to know if it is possible to replace these parts such as: bonnet, headlights, front bumper, mudguards and the rear door to that of a Mk3 (2000) as in dimensions would it be a problem in order to fit these parts? or is it just take out the old and just change them?

Certainly front end conversions have been done, but if you want to turn it into a MK3 then why not just buy a MK3? It'll not add much to your car, make insurance a sod and cost a fortune to do. Or is your car special?

i'ts just because i have some parts to exchange and i can trade them with other bodyparts so i was saying to myself if i could do it it would actually be free so to speak because i'm not paying for nothing its just an exchange...?

its just panels up front (wings, bumper, lights, crash bar, bonnet etc)

rear bootlid isn't the same, just not quite the same shape.

but as in the bending from the roof till the lock or just the way it is set nest to the tail lights there is a slight difference i noted there as in mine cuts 90 degrees flat and the mk3 tends to curve a little, because if it is just that i can alter but i don't know that much

Hi Matthew, i have a Mk2 with the full Mk3 front end and rear bumper fitted. As mOrk says the only part that won't fit is the tailgate. I've also got the full dash and 20Vt engine fitted so it all goes in and on OK.

hi Andy, the conversion wasn't done by me but he did do a complete photo log of the build. I will try and upload some pictures soon...or i can send them to you for info. Right not the engine is running an Oettinger ECU at 185BHP so it goes good too.

hmmm sry wait coz i misread the reply. erm my question is, what alterations did you do, coz at the face the mk2 door cuts down straight and the mk3 tends to slant that is vizible but are there other modifications that have to be done and are not visible, because i dont have any dimensions what so ever.
thanks,
Matthew
